Built to sail through the waves and the water. The Superocean Heritage is not your average marine watch – it never was. When Breitling first introduced it in 1957, it took a different approach than other dive watches of the time. The Ref. 1004 (an elegant, time-only model) and the Ref. 807 (the world’s first dedicated diving chronograph) were not just about exploring the underwater world – they were also about looking good. The spear-and-arrow hands, rotating ceramic bezel and naturally elegant proportions made it a favorite of stylish adventurers who lived for the sea and nature. Today, this philosophy still underpins the Superocean Heritage. It has the soul of the 1950s, but is built for today. The latest Superocean Heritage model builds on everything that made the original special and enhances it even further. The chronograph is powered by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, Breitling’s industry-leading timekeeping mechanism. The ceramic-inlaid bezel provides exceptional scratch resistance, while the integrated metal or rubber mesh bracelets fit snugly against the case and are secured with folding clasps for a clean and water-resistant finish. Tone-matched dials, a discreet date window at six o’clock, and the original signature hands – hour hand, minute hand – ensure legibility and balance both above and below the surface.
